Plantation and Street School Activity by ACHES

The Aitchison College Humanitarian and Environmental Society collaborated with the Parks and Horticulture Authority, to hold a plantation drive. The plantation took place on Saturday, 2 September, 2023, from 9AM till 12AM, at FFC park near Zahoor Elahi Road. The activity included the volunteers digging holes to plant saplings and then refilling the holes once the saplings had been placed inside. The collaboration served as an excellent opportunity for the students to gain hands-on experience in the field of gardening and horticulture with over 60 saplings of various kinds and species being planted.

Study Tour 2023

On the 2nd of September 2023, the Art & Design Department meticulously organized a study tour for the students of E2 and M1. The purpose of the tour was to visit the Kalamkaar Furniture Showroom and Factory, and a total of 52 boys eagerly participated in this enriching experience. During the excursion, the students had the privilege of engaging in a conversation with Mr. Qais Rehman, the owner of the establishment and an esteemed alumnus of Aitchison College. Furthermore, the tour included comprehensive briefings on the various materials and processes integral to furniture production, delivered by industry experts. The students remained actively engaged throughout the session, taking diligent notes to enhance their learning. After the educational tour, they wrapped up the day on a delightful note with a brunch, adding a pleasant conclusion to the tour.

Annual Photography Competition 2023

The Annual Photography Competition was held on 9^th September 2023 at the Prep School. More than 60 students from E2, M1, and M2 participated in this event.

The "Macro Marvels" Photography Competition invited our prep school photography enthusiasts to embark on a captivating journey into the miniature wonders of the natural world. With the theme centered on capturing the intricate and often hidden details of tiny creatures, plants, or natural textures up close. Participants were encouraged to explore the world through a macro lens. This competition celebrated the art of revealing the beauty that often escaped the naked eye, offering a unique perspective on the tiniest inhabitants and elements of our environment. It was an opportunity to showcase the stunning intricacies that existed all around us, waiting to be discovered and shared through the art of photography.
