AITCHISON BEATEN IN FINAL OF THE JAFAR MEMORIAL INTER SCHOOL HOCKEY TROPHY 2021

Congratulations to Alama Iqbal School Gujrat on being most worthy winners of the 2021 Jafar Memorial Trophy. In a high class game, our boys had chances but went down 2-0. Twenty-eight schools competed and presentations were made by Syed Babar Ali, whose Ali Institute has kept this tournament alive since 1961. This year, 'The Jafar' returned to Aitchison, where Mohammed Syed Jafar was educated. A large crowd urged both teams on.

All abuzz at the Aitchison College Honey Farm

Science Department of Aitchison College Prep School arranged a visit to the Principal’s Garden on Thursday 18^th November. Our keen and aspiring scientists from E2C2 observed the colonies of vigilant bees. They learnt different stages of the life cycle of a honey bee and the assiduous workings of their sweet labour. Following are the highlights of the event:

During the first half we dominated the game thanks to our good passing in line and continuous hits coming from the forwards. The scrums were very secure, which helped us win the ball back and allowed us to score the first early try. The offloads were on point and overall the team played quality rugby. We were less effective in the rucks and missed a few tackles during the game, which led to us conceding our first and only try. Overall the boys showed great sportsmanship and played with high spirits.
