Aitchison College Cricket Team Shines against Warwickshire County Club
On Saturday 15th February, 2025 Aitchison College Cricket team played a friendly cricket match against Warwickshire County Club . The College team won the toss and put Warwickshire Cricket County Club to bat first. WCC scored 219 all out in 44.2 overs with 04 balls to spare. Their number three batsman Mr. Levi Gekis scored a brilliant century by dispatching the ball in all corners of the ground. He was supported by Jake Lintott who chipped in with thirty-five runs. A few others also chipped in. Our players bowled extremely well. In reply, our run-making machine, Usman Khan made an unbeaten century (126*) which was crucial in clinching the match away from the visitors. He was supported in the middle order by Harib Ahsan (23), Mahad Alam (13) and Zunnurain (17), thereby packing the match in 42.4 overs.
The Principal, Dr. S.M. Turab Hussain, the Bursar, Mr. Khalid Noon, Games Master and Head of Sports Mr. Umer Zaman Khan, Staurt Cain, CEO Warwickshire County Cricket Club, Paul Greethers WCC-Coach and other respected dignitaries were in attendance. They praised both teams for their brilliant performance. In the end, souvenirs and gifts were exchanged.
