Pak Maweshi: Aitchison College Students' Startup Wins Prestigious IT Innovation Award

"Pak Maweshi" is a startup founded by Ayaan Waqar and Zarar Haroon of Aitchison College. After winning the incubation award from Beaconhouse Sparktank, the app has now won first prize in the Nawaz Sharif IT City Innovation Award 2024 in the Young Founder category, out of 400 startups that applied across 12 categories. Pak Maweshi will receive a cash prize of up to PKR 500,000.

Pak Maweshi is a user-friendly app featuring a comprehensive Urdu interface that empowers Pakistani farmers and traders, especially women in rural areas. By bridging the language gap, Pak Maweshi fosters economic independence for women and a more efficient livestock market, potentially improving Pakistan's economic performance.
